Season 1 - 2026 Summer Open.
Divisions Overview
Day 1 of the tournament will feature pool play, with 2 Men’s pools and 1 Women’s pool consisting of 8 teams each.
Day 2 will transition into a double-elimination format, with separate Winners and Losers Brackets to determine the final champions.
Day 1 Format
Total Pools: 3 pools
- Men’s Pool A — 8 teams
- Men’s Pool B — 8 teams
- Women’s Pool — 8 teams
Pool Play:
- Teams compete in pool-play matches throughout Day 1.
- Each team is guaranteed 4 games.
- Each match consists of 2 sets played to 25 points (cap).
- Matches have a 45-minute time cap.
- If both sets are completed before 45 minutes, the match ends normally.
- If 45 minutes is reached before both sets are completed, the match is stopped immediately.
- Standings after pool play determine Day 2 playoff seeding.
Day 1 Rankings and Seeding for Day 2
After Day 1, teams are ranked based on the following criteria, in order:
- Sets Won — teams with the highest number of sets won rank higher.Example: a team with a 7–1 record ranks higher than a team with a 6–2 record.
- Point Ratio — if tied on sets won, ranking is determined by point ratio.Calculated as overall points earned ÷ overall points lost. Higher ratio ranks higher.
- Win Over (Head-to-Head) — if still tied after sets won and point ratio, the result of the head-to-head match (if applicable) determines the higher rank.If the teams did not play each other, a death match to 5 points (capped) determines the ranking.
Men's Division
- The top 8 teams advance to the Competitive Division.
- The bottom 8 teams battle it out in the Intermediate+ Division.
- Rankings are determined from combined pool results.
Day 2: Double Elimination Format
Elimination Format: Day 2 follows a double-elimination structure with Winners and Losers Brackets:
- Teams that lose a game in the Winner’s Bracket drop into the Losers Bracket.
- In the Losers Bracket, it’s do-or-die — a loss means elimination.
Finals: The championship match features:
- Winner of the Winner’s Bracket vs. Winner of the Loser’s Bracket.
- The team from the Winner’s Bracket has a “twice-to-beat” advantage. If the Loser’s Bracket team wins the final match (best of 3), one last set is played to decide the ultimate champion.
Scoring Caps:
- Winner’s Bracket: 1st and 2nd set, points to 25 (no cap). 3rd set, points to 15 (no cap).
- Loser’s Bracket: games are a single set, points to 25 (no cap).
